Accessibility

Every woman should be able to read this site. Here is what we have done, what isn't perfect yet, and how to tell us.

hifanc.com is run by FANC. We want the site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, and we work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

  • The site is marked up in English with proper headings, so screen readers read it in the right order.
  • It works with a keyboard alone.
  • The sign-up form has a label on every field, and if something is missing it says so in plain words, which screen readers announce.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's animations are switched off.
  • Images have text descriptions.

What isn't perfect yet

We have not yet completed a full, formal accessibility audit of every page, so some parts may still fall short. We are working on it, and we would genuinely like to hear about anything that gets in your way.

Tell us

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need any of it in another format, write to office@hifanc.com. It helps to say which page, what you were trying to do, and which device and browser you used. We will reply as soon as we can.
